Xinhuanet launches German language version
BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhuanet) — Xinhuanet, the online news provider of Xinhua News Agency, launches its German version on Thursday after in-depth research and detailed preparation, as part of efforts to enlarge the website’s overseas influence.
Giving full account to German language netizens’ reading habits and interests, the Xinhuanet German version aims to build an information bridge connecting China and the German-speaking areas.
The version has its pages designed in a fresh and concise style and will present significant news about China in many fields.
It will be an all-media news platform featuring exclusive perspectives of political relations, business cooperation and cultural exchange being co-achieved by China and the German-speaking areas.

Xinhuanet already runs seven foreign-language versions in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Japanese and Korean, three overseas editions: the Europe Edition, Africa Edition and Asia-Pacific Edition, and three channels of Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.
