Xiaomi Mi 4’s 64GB variant is coming to India
NEW DELHI, Feb. 10 (NsNewsWire) — A day before Xiaomi’s Mi 4 smartphone goes on sale on Flipkart, the Chinese smartphone maker has announced that it’s also bringing the phone’s 64GB version to India.
Xiaomi has posted a tweet via its official India account saying that Mi 4 (64GB) is coming. The tweet features a teaser picture that reveals that the variant will be available at Rs 23,999 starting February 24. The company had not announced the 64GB variant during the New Delhi launch but had said that would like to make the phone available in the near future, reports
.It’s interesting to note that OnePlus One, Mi 4’s closest rival will be available to all consumers without the need for an invite, on February 10, the same day when Xiaomi starts selling the phone. Priced at Rs 21,999, OnePlus One comes with 64GB storage and 4G connectivity.
Successor to the Xiaomi Mi 3, the phone features a stainless steel metal frame and a 5-inch full HD display made by Sharp or JDI that has Corning Glass with One Glass Solution (OGS) technology protection. The phone also has changeable plastic back covers.
Xiaomi Mi 4 is powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 3GB RAM. The phone runs MIUI 6, a new version of the company’s operating system, based on Android 4.4 KitKat.
It sports a 13MP rear and 8MP front Sony stacked CMOS camera and a 3080mAh battery. According to Xiaomi, the battery lasts one and a half day with normal usage and will offer quick charging, reaching 60% charge in an hour’s time.
In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phone doesn’t support 4G data and NFC.
