Turkish PM to visit Pakistan Monday
ISLAMABAD, Dec. 21 (NsNewsWire) — Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to pay a two-day official visit to Pakistan on Dec. 23 to 24 to discuss economic cooperation between the two countries, state media reported on Saturday.
Erdogan will hold official talks with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on ways and means to strengthen bilateral ties and enhance cooperation in various fields, Xinhua reported quoting Radio Pakistan.
The Turkish Prime Minister will be leading a delegation comprising ministers, business people and entrepreneurs to explore investment avenues in various fields in Pakistan.
The two countries would also sign MoUs to extend cooperation in various sectors.
The Turkish PM will land in the eastern city of Lahore on Monday and attend a cultural event at a local college.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will host a luncheon in honor of the visiting dignitary at his residence at Raiwind near Lahore that would follow a Business Forum and the signing of MoUs in Lahore.
The Turkish PM would move to Islamabad on Tuesday and meet with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, followed by delegation level talks.
The Foreign Ministry said the visit of the Turkish PM is part of a regular exchange of High Level visits between the two countries.
