Syed Mahmud Hossain made Bangladesh’s new chief justice

DHAKA, Feb. 4 (NsNewsWire) — Syed Mahmud Hossain was sworn in as Bangladesh’s new chief justice during a ceremony in capital Dhaka on Saturday, reports Xinhua.
Bangladeshi President Abdul Hamid presided over the ceremony at Bangabhaban presidential palace.
The post fell vacant after the country’s first non-Muslim SK Sinha resigned from chief justice post in November last year from Australia amid a row with the government.  Enditem
