Superstar sprinter Andre De Grasse is coming to GC2018

Gold Coast, Nov. 19 (NsNewsWire) — Canadian Andre De Grasse has been anointed the future of athletics after running a personal best at the Rio Olympics to finish second behind Usain Bolt in the 100m final, but they’re some mighty shoes to fill.

De Grasse shot to prominence with some exciting performances at the 2016 Olympics, claiming three medals and a new legion of fans across the world.

While De Grasse’s personal best is officially 9.91, he ran the equal third quickest time in history to win a Diamond League meet in April, a scintillating 9.69 in Stockholm.

While the time didn’t count due to an illegal +4.8 tailwind, it showed the potential for the superstar sprinter.

There’s no doubt De Grasse has come a long way since missing the final of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
