Shafiullah Al Munir made new BCF president

DHAKA, May 13 (NsNewsWire) — The Youth and Sports Ministry has appointed renowned sports organizer Shafiullah Al Munir as the new president of Bangladesh Cycling Federation (BCF).

The Ministry issued an order  that it appoints Munir as the president of BCF as per National Sports Council Act 1974 (amended).

Munir, present Chairman of Event Strategy and Development Committee of The Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) and Vice President of Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF),  comes with vast experience as sports organizer apart from being an successful entrepreneur and CEO of Index Group.

Munir is also current vice-president of Bangladesh Weight Lifting Federation as well as vice-president of Bangladesh archery federation. Besides, he is actively involved with numbers of sporting clubs including Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club, Dhaka Victoria Sporting Club, Dhaka Wari Club, Bangladesh sporting and Depali.

Apart from that, Munir’s Index group has been patronizing hokey, cricket, weight lifting, archery, shooting, rowing and rugby in home and abroad.
