Robi to collect electricity bills on behalf of Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited

DHAKA, March 22 (NsNewsWire) — Robi has recently signed an agreement with Dhaka Power
Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) for offering electricity bill payment service facility.
Robi’s digital electric bill payment facility makes it very convenient for the customers of
DPDC to pay for their prepaid bills.
In presence of DPDC’s Managing Director, Eng. Bikash Dewan, Robi’s Chief Digital
Services Officer, Shihab Ahmad and DPDC’s Company Secretary, Joyonto Kumar Sikder
signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the Bidyut Bhaban.
Robi’s Vice President, M-Money & Regulatory, Dewan Nazmul Hasan, General Manager,
Digital Advertising, Md Sanjid Hossain, General Manager, M-Money, Md. Zahid Hossain,
General Manager M-Money, Mohammed Faruk Hossain, Manager, Mosleh Uddin, Manager,
Ms. Khandakar Munira Mahzabin, Manager, Md. Firoz Kabir and DPDC’s Executive
Director (Finance), Md. Golam Mostafa, Executive Director (HR), Abu Taj Mohd. Zakir
Hossain, Executive Director (Operation), ATM Harun-or- Rashid, Executive Director
(Engineering), Md. Ramiz Uddin Sarkar, along with other high officials from DPDC were
present on the occasion.
Robi’s bill payment platform, “RobiCash”, is integrated with the DPDC’s billing system.
Hence, bills paid through RobiCash is updated on DPDC’s system. Customers can choose to
pay their bills through RobiCash Points or Robi Walk-In- Centres (WICs) or their own mobile
phones. In case of paying the bills from their own mobile phones, customers need to first cash
in electronic float (RobiCash) from the nearest WICs or RobiCash points.
Moreover, once a customer pays the electric bill, s/he will be notified through immediate
confirmation SMS of the payment. Hence, Robi mobile electric bill payment
system/RobiCash is completely secured and reliable. Apart from paying electric bills,
customers can also pay water bill and purchase train tickets either from the RobiCash agents
or by using RobiCash through their own mobile phones. Enditem
