Robi aid for gov’t Labour Welfare Fund

DHAKA, Nov. 11 (Robi Press Release) — Chief Human Resources Officer of Robi Axiata Limited Matiul Islam Nowshad Monday handed over a cheque to Minister, Ministry of Labor & Employment, Rajiuddin Ahmed Raju, as the company’s contribution to the Labour Welfare Fund.

Robi paid out 5 percent of its gross profit to the employee of which 10 percent was deposited to the fund as per the Government rule.

Robi is the first telecom company to deposit the money to the Labour Welfare Fund.

Mohammad Shahedul Alam, Vice President (CRL), and Md. Faisal Imtiaz Khan, Vice President, Employee Relations, along with other high officials of the ministry and Robi were present during the handover program held at the ministry.
