Road show starts to make jute popular

 

DHAKA, March 1,  (NsNewsWire) — The government today started a colourful road show from Dhaka to different districts for encouraging people to use jute and jute products ahead the National Jute Day on March 6.
State Minister for Textile and Jute Mirza Azam inaugurated the road show this morning at Manik Mia Avenue in the capital that ended up in Faridpur district at the afternoon. The road show will visit Jamalpur district via Dhaka city tomorrow.
Azam said the present government has taken massive programmes to revive the past glory of the golden fiber.
He called upon people from all walks of lives to use more jute and jute products especially the diversified various jute goods.
The road show was adorned with colourful banner, festoons and decorated vehicles with different features and benefits of using jute and jute products.
Textile and Jute Secretary Faizur Rahman and heads of different organizations under the textile and jute ministry were also present on the occasion.  Press Release
