RANKSTEL hands over 40 mln taka as license fee to BTRC

DHAKA, April 23 (NsNewsWire) — RANKSTEL, a leading  Bangladeshi telecom company, has recently paid 40 million taka license fee up to June 2017 to the country’s telecom regulator.

A team of Rankstel officials led by its Chief Financial Officer Masudur Rahman handed  over a cheque of 40 million taka to Ashish Kumar Kundu, Director Account & Finance, and M. A. Taleb Hossain,  Director Licensing , of BTRC.

Regarding the license fee payment, RANKSTEL Chief Executive Officer S. M. Ashiqur Rahman  said, “Since the appointment of the new RANKSTEL Management last year, we have been in discussion with BTRC on various matters. This payment is part of our commitment and an outcome of the discussions so far.”

Rahman also mentioned that RANKSTEL has already tabled some points to BTRC for discussion.

“We remain committed to cooperate and adhere to BTRC directives now and in future,” Rahman was also quoted as saying in a prepared statement.
