PCB concerned about team’s security in Bangladesh: Sethi
LAHORE, Jan. 8 (NsNewsWire) — Caretaker chairman PCB Najam Sethi has expressed concerns regarding Pakistan cricket team’s security in Bangladesh and is seeking advice from the foreign office on the issue.
Talking to reporters at Lahore airport he said that PCB was skeptical about sending the Pakistan cricket team to Bangladesh for the Asia Cup due to security reasons.
He also mentioned that the West-Indies U-19 tour to Bangladesh also had to be cancelled because of the same reasons.
The chairman further said that their security reservations would be discussed at the ICC meeting and PCB’s security officer will be sent to Bangladesh to assess the situation.
He also informed the press that Sri Lanka has decided to send their team to Bangladesh to participate in the event.
Answering a question about the coach of the team he said that time had come make a decision on the matter but because his powers were limited he was unable to take major decisions. http://www.thenews.com.pk
