ntertainment Aamir Khan’s PK in legal turmoil, FIR filed against makers for allegedly hurting religious sentiments
Mumbai, Dec. 24 (NsNewsWire) — Controversy does not seem to cease courting the recently released film PK, starring Bollywood’s ace actor, Aamir Khan.
The film that hit the theatres on December 19, 2014, has been doing well amongst the audiences but is now facing legal complication, reports DNA.
Claiming that the makers of PK have portrayed Hindu Lord Shiva in a bad light, Secretary of Hindu Legal Cell, Prashant Patel, has now reportedly filed an FIR against Aamir Khan, director Raju Hirani, producers Sidharth Roy Kapur and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Patel says in the FIR that there are disapproving comments in the film about Hindu rituals which are hurtful. The dialogue ‘Jo darta hai vo hi mandir jaata hai’ has been reportedly specially mentioned in the FIR.
On Monday, three days after the film’s release, BoycottPK started trending on Twitter, where a number of people slammed the movie for ‘hurting their sentiments.’ A battle on the social networking site ensued, and team #WeSupportPK cropped up in support of the film.
