NOVOAIR hosts golf tournament to mark Victory Day

DHAKA, Dec. 29 (NsNewsWire) — NOVOAIR has hosted a golf tournament, marking the country’s 42nd “VICTORY DAY” at Army Golf Club.

The country’s youngest and fastest growing airline has sponsored the tournament for the 4th time in a row. This was held on 19-21 December 2013.

Major General Md Mashud Razzak, senior vice president Army Golf Club, attended both the opening and the closing ceremonies as chief guest, said a press release of the NOVOAIR on Sunday.

It said a total of 600 golfers participated the tournament in five different categories like, Junior, Ladies, Senior, Regular and Veteran.

“We pay our homage to the martyrs and valiant freedom fighters for whose sacrifice we are an Independent nation today,” said NOVOAIR Managing Director Mofizur Rahman in his speech at the closing ceremony.

He further mentioned that NOVOAIR within a very short span of time has managed to draw more attention from travellers by ensuring high levels of service to passengers.

“We would like to establish our airline as a premium brand for which our nation could be proud of. We also remain committed for corporate social responsibility through social and philanthropic works.”

NOVOAIR, the latest Scheduled Passenger Airline in Bangladesh, has started its domestic operations in January this year to and from all major destinations, Dhaka, Chittagong, Jessore, Sylhet and Cox Bazar with EMB 145 Jets.
