New Indian Visa Application Centre Now in Dhanmondi

DHAKA, Dec. 31 (NsNewsWire) — State Bank of India (SBI), the authorized agent of the High Commission of India, Dhaka for accepting Indian visa applications through Indian Visa Application Centres (IVACs), is pleased to announce the opening of a new IVAC facility in Dhaka for receipt and delivery of visa applications, as per the following details with effect from Thursday, 1 January, 2015: –

Hours of Operation

(Sunday to Thursday) Receipt of applications 0800 hrs. to 1300 hrs.

(Sunday to Thursday) Delivery of applications 1500 hrs. to 1800 hrs.

While submitting visa applications, applicants are advised to select the correct category of visa they wish to apply for.  They should ensure that all documentation is genuine, complete and accurate.  Applicants are advised to be vigilant about agents and middlemen and to report all such cases to the nearest Police State/Law Enforcement Authority.  IVAC does not have nor has authorized any person/organization to act on its behalf in Bangladesh.

Revised processing Fees

With effect from 1.1.2015, the revised visa processing fee will be as follows:

·         For all IVAC Centre in Dhaka            :         BDT 600.00

·         For IVAC, Chittagong                        :         BDT 600.00

·         IVAC, Rajshahi                                  :         BDT 600.00

·         IVAC, Sylhet                                      :         BDT 700.00

·         IVAC, Khulna                                    :         BDT 700.00

New procedure for uploading photograph

With effect from 1.1.2015, applicants would be required to scan and upload their photograph in the designated space provided in the online application form. Application forms received without the scanned photograph would be considered incomplete.

Medical Visas

A special counter for Medical Emergency Visas is available at IVAC, Gulshan.  Medical emergency visa applications may be deposited on a walk-in basis at IVAC Gulshan, Dhaka even without an appointment date.
