Najib arrives in Bangladesh for official visit
DHAKA, Nov. 17 (nsnewswire) — Datuk Seri Najib Razak arrived here tonight for a three-day work visit to Bangladesh.
Accompanied by wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Najib was received by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman and wife Datin Seri Siti Rubiah Abdul Samad, Malaysian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Norlin Othman and the staff of the Malaysian High Commission.
The prime minister and wife departed to the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel where the hotel’s general manager Eldridge J Mac was also present to receive them.
Najib is scheduled to attend the handing over ceremony of the Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Memorial Specialised Hospital and Nursing College to KPJ Healthcare Berhad scheduled tomorrow.
The prime minister will also make a courtesy call on the President of Bangladesh Md Abdul Hamid before making a visit to the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and a dinner reception hosted by Sheikh Hasina later in the evening.
This is Najib’s first visit to Bangladesh in his capacity as the prime minister.
Rosmah is scheduled to inaugurate the 8th Cleft Lip and Palate Project in Bangladesh by Dhaka Community Hospital in collaboration with Mercy Malaysia. The project will benefit about 60 patients who will undergo the corrective surgery. Source :Bernama.
