KAFCO contributes nearly 12 mln taka to labor welfare foundation

DHAKA, April 9 (NsNewsWire) — Karnaphuli Fertilizer Co. Ltd. (KAFCO) has contributed nearly 12 million taka to the Sramik Kalyan Foundation.

Industries Secretary Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, also a KAFCO board director,  handed over the cheque  amounting to 117, 32,479 taka , 0.5% of KAFCO profit for the financial year 2013-14 , to Md Mujibul Haque Chunnu, state minister for Labour & Employment, in a program held at the ministry on  April 7.

Mikail Shipar, secretary of the Ministry of Labor & Employment,  among others,  were present at the cheque handover program, said a KAFCO press release on Thursday.
