Airtel partners with S@ifur’s to launch education portal called Airtel Learn
DHAKA, May 6 (NsNewsWire) — Airtel Bangladesh Limited, one of the fastest growing operators of the country,has launched an educational portal called “Airtel Learn” targeted to help students before examinations.Airtel Bangladesh Limited, partnering with the renowned educational brand S@ifur’s and LiveTechnologies, has made the launching announcement of Airtel Learn services on Monday at a signingceremony in Airtel’s Gulshan office. During the signing ceremony, officials of Airtel Bangladesh, Mir Nawbut Ali, Head of Marketing,Mohammad Makid Hasan, Assistant Manager of VAS, Saikat Barua, Assistant Manager of VAS, MirToufiqul Islam, Assistant Manager of VAS, Rishad Habib, Senior Executive of VAS, along with Prof.Khalilur Rahman Khan, Chairman and Md.Ashraf Uddin, General Manager, of S@ifur’s and Md. SharifUddin, Managing Director, Live Technologies, Md.Tamjid-Ul-Alam, Director, Marketing, Yeaser Arafat,Director, Accounts and Md. Meshktaur Rahman, Manager of Live Tech were present.Airtel Learn is an educational portal by which Airtel customers will be able to get tips and suggestions ondifferent assessment as well as general knowledge through SMS and WAP. The service comes with SMSbased content for customers. Airtel’s valued customers will be able to choose from a range of educationalpacks and will receive daily tips and content accordingly. The educational packs are General Knowledgebased which will provide Airtel customers with broad information and messages every day andExamination Tips which will provide assessment tips for ongoing examinations like HSC, University andCollege admissions. Through WAP, students will get the chance to receive important suggestions and tipsthrough a WAP portal which will help them before their exams. The service will be available in subscription model which will allow users to pay a subscription fee to usethe service. In order to avail the service, Airtel customers can simply dial *321*211# to get examinationtips for the ongoing HSC exams and subscribe at a rate of BDT 2 + VAT per day. Customers will besending the SMS “Start GK” to activate the SMS based General Knowledge based content service andSMS “Start tips” to activate the tips based content service at a short code of 22111. In order to activate WAP services, customers will have to send SMS “Start ESW” for science suggestions, send an SMS“Start EAW” for Arts suggestions and send an SMS “Start ECW” for Commerce suggestions to the shortcode of 22111.
