Iran urges boost of cooperation with D-8
TEHRAN, July 21 (NsNewsWire) — Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called for enhancement of cooperation with the D-8 Organization, Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday, reports Xinhua.
Zarif made the remarks in a meeting with the visiting secretary general of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, Ku Jaafar Ku Shaari.
Zarif highlighted the importance of the D-8 group and its member states’ potentials and voiced Iran’s readiness to boost cooperation with the countries’ private sectors and exchange experiences in various scientific and technological fields.
Transfer of technology, cooperation in research and development, financing economic projects, chamber of barter trade, and cooperation in producing and exporting medicines were among issues discussed at the meeting.
The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation is an organization for the development of cooperation among the following countries: Iran, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Turkey. Enditem
