Iran drops two places in recent FIFA rankings

TEHRAN, June 1 (Xinhua) — Iran’s men’s national soccer team plunged two spots to land in the 30th place in the world, Press TV reported on Thursday.

According to the latest monthly rankings released by the FIFA on Thursday, the Iranian outfit earned 829 points and remained as the top soccer outfit in Asia.

South Korea stayed in the 43rd place with 703 points, followed by Japan and Australia who occupied the 45th and 48th spots in the world with 689 and 681 points respectively.

Brazil kept its top ranking in the world, with 1,715 points.
