INDIAN VISA ADVISORY FOR MACHINE READABLE PASSPORTS

In accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization guidelines regarding discontinuation of hand written passports, applicants for Indian Visa are advised that with effect from September 01, 2015 Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) all across Bangladesh being run by the State Bank of India will accept only valid Machine Readable Passports issued by the Government of Bangladesh.  Source: Indian High Commission Press Release
