Indian Foreign Minister exchanges views with Bangladesh VCs
DHAKA, Dec. 19 (NsNewsWire) — External Affairs Minister of India Salman Khurshid has exchanged views with vice chancellors of leading Bangladeshi universities who are on a familiarization visit to India.
Indian High Commission in Dhaka Thursday sent a group photo of the Indian foreign minister with the members of delegation of vice chancellors during a meeting in New Delhi.
At the invitation of the Indian government, the delegation of vice chancellors is visiting India from Dec. 14 -19, 2013.
In a statement Indian High Commission had earlier said the visit is aimed at strengthening educational cooperation, exchanges and contacts between India and Bangladesh. Members of the delegation are drawn from prominent public and private universities of Bangladesh.
The delegation was scheduled to travel to New Delhi, Kolkata and Agra, where they will, inter alia, visit the Jawaharlal Nehru University, OP Jindal Global University and the Indian Institute of Management, and attend a presentation on India’s National Knowledge Network.
The delegation was also expected to meet the Union Ministers of External Affairs and Human Resource Development and Chairman, University Grants Commission, besides other senior officials, said the statement issued here on Thursday.
Vice Chancellors of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), BRAC University, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST), Southeast University (SEU), State University of Bangladesh (SUB), University of Chittagong (CU), University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and University of Rajshahi (RU) are participating in the delegation.
