High-powered Bangladesh ruling party delegation to visit China
DHAKA, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) — A High-powered delegation of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ruling Bangladesh Awami League (AL) party will leave Dhaka early Wednesday for China at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
AL Presidium Member and Parliamentary Standing Committee Chairman on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Matin Khasru will lead the 20-member delegation which comprises many top officials.
During the visit, the delegation is expected to meet CPC high-ups and discuss various issues with each other.
Khasru on Monday talked to reporters ahead of the AL delegation’s eight-day tour to China from Sept. 4 to Sept. 11. He said the AL delegation would visit Nanjing of Jiangsu Province, Zunyi of Guizhou Province and Guiyang of Guizhou Province. The AL delegation would also take part in a seminar on how the CPC ensured good governance and enormous success in poverty alleviation.
He said China is one of the major development partners of Bangladesh and it has been supporting Bangladesh in various development projects with finance and technologies.
