GP teams up with PAYZA to offer payment solution to customers
DHAKA, July 1 (NsNewsWire) — Grameenphone has signed an agreement with Payza, a leading-edge e-wallet payment gateway, to offer an instant online payment solution for Grameenphone customers.
This was announced during a small signing ceremony that took place at the Grameenphone corporate office in Bashundhara (today) Wednesday.
Through this agreement, more than 52 million of Grameenphone prepaid and postpaid users will be able to purchase different Value Added Services, complete online recharges or pay bills from it’s the GP website using their Payza e-Wallet.
Commenting on the agreement, Mr. Dilip Pal, Chief Financial Officer of Grameenphone, said that, “Grameenphone is very much aware of the need of the customers in the Digital world. Online transaction in Bangladesh is becoming an essential need and thus by allowing our customer to purchase online, we are opening a new channel for our customers to make it easy for them”.

The agreement was signed by Asif Md. Touhid, Chief Procurement officer of Grameenphone; Mr. Jamal Shah, Chief Operating Officer of Payza Bangladesh; and Mr. S. M. Jahangir Akhter, Senior Executive Vice President of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Ltd. Zakia Zerin, Head of Digital and Social Media, Nabila Rahman, Head of Customer Experience were also present during the signing ceremony.
Soon GP customers will be able to avail this service through Grameenphone website.
