First ever Robotics Competition for Colleges starts

DHAKA, March 21 (NsNewsWire) — First ever Robotics competition for the college students of Bangladesh started from today. The competition is organized by Japan education technology company Venturas Ltd and supported by Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Embassy of Japan, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and ICT Ministry. Today’s workshop was arranged for college students from 10am to 5pm at new campus of United International University (UIU).

The workshop brilliantly attracted 700-800 students. Highlights of the workshop are- career seminar, panel discussion and coding workshop, with the vision of helping students to get unique experience and ideas about progaming, coding, engineering and ICT. The workshop will be conducted by Kazuaki Nakamura, Founder and CEO, Viling Inc.; Masao Ishihara, CEEO Advisory, Tufts University (Boston, U.S.A); Kazuaki Nakayama, CEO, Monster Lab, Bangladesh. It will provide a guideline to students in building career as a super programmer and selecting the appropriate University to be the most highly-valued engineer in future. Additionally, students will get the chance to learn coding and making gaming app from CSE/EEE University Professors.

A line tracing competition will take place, where robots created by the teams will follow a black-lined course and win by completing in the shortest possible time. The competition and the award ceremony will take place on 22 March, where the Machiko Yamamura, Second Secretary, Head, Public Relation and Culture will present the winning team medals. The winning team will get the chance to join the Grameenphone Accelerator program with a prize money of 1 lakh Taka. Press Release
