Farhad appointed AMTOB secy general

DHAKA, March 10 (NsNewsWire) — Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh (AMTOB) has appointed Brigadier General S M Farhad, SPP, BGBM, ndc, afwc, psc (Retd.) as its new Secretary General, replacing T I M Nurul Kabir.

General Farhad is an accomplished leader, policy developer, planner, organizer and executor in the field of information communication and technology and management. Treasuring 34 years of enriched experience at different capacities with last held position as Director Signals at the Bangladesh Army Headquarters. Previously he also served as a Director at DGFI and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and developed many policies andStandingOperating Procedures; and dealt with issues related to regulatory affairs.

General Farhad has won various professional recognitions including prestigious SenaParodorshitaPodok and Border Guard Bangladesh Medal (the highest award of BGB) and played a vital role in ensuring registration of Pre-activated SIM of all mobile network operators back in 2012.

He joined the Bangladesh Army in 1984 and accomplished various military courses and training in Bangladesh and abroad. He also completed three Masters in the field of Strategic Studies, Military Securities Studies, and Defense Studies. enditem Press Release
