Colours FM makes largest-ever Pohela Boishakh canvas full of hand-prints
DHAKA, April 23 (NsNewsWire) — Colours FM 106.6, a private music entertainment channel , has made the country’s largest-ever Pohela Boishakh canvas full of hand-prints.
Anyone can lend a hand to share and spread the joy of Pohela Boishakh. This was the message in the radio channel’s observance of this year’s Bengali New Year.
To celebrate the Bengali New Year-1422, Colours FM 106.6 in association with the Burger Paint Bangladesh Limited made the largest-ever hand-print canvas of 120 feet.
The event called ‘Ronge Ronge Rangano Boishakh’ started on the Pohela Boishakh morning and the white canvas was laid out in the city’s Dhanmondi’s Rabindra Sarobar.
The effort has touched a large section of the city’s residents and even foreigners who took to the streets to welcome and celebrate the “Shuvo Nababorsho”.
There had a big bunch of youths and kids, laughing and dipping their hands in the paint to stamp on the canvas.
By the end of the day the 120 feet white canvas became a colourful painting ground with the images of painted hands of countless cheerful people.
Participants have dipped their hands in the their favorite color paint to stamp on the largest canvas. By doing so everyone got excited to welcome the Bengali New Year with good spirits. The event became one of the most memorable Pohela Boishakh events for them.
Along with this event, however, there was prize for those who took Selfies and uploaded those in the Facebook fan page of Colours FM 101.6. On the basis of likes and comments, one of the participants will be declared the winner who along with his/her one companion will get the opportunity to stay in an amazing resort —
