Boat carrying hundreds of illegal migrants seized in Bay of Bengal

DHAKA, Nov. 18 (NsNewsWire) — A boat carrying hundreds of illegal migrants has been seized in the Bay of Bengal near Saint Martin’s island in Teknaf, close to Bangladesh’s southeastern border with Myanmar.
Bangladesh’s Navy intercepted the Myanmar flag carrying boat with 600 illegal migrants about 50 nautical miles southeast of Saint Martin’s Island in Teknaf under Bangladesh’s southeastern Cox’s Bazaar district on Monday evening.
14 crew members of the boat have also been arrested.
