Banglalink partners with NRB Commercial Bank Ltd. to facilitate Government’s Safety Net Fund disbursement
DHAKA, March 15 (NsNewsWire) — Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers in Bangladesh, has signed an agreement with NRB Commercial Bank Ltd. to facilitate the disbursement process of Government’s Safety Net Fund. Present at the signing ceremony were Erik Aas, CEO, Banglalink, Ritesh Kumar Singh, Chief Sales Officer, Banglalink, Kazi Md.Talha, Managing Director(Current Charge), NRB Commercial Bank Ltd., Kazi Md. Safayet Kabir, Executive Vice President & Head of Financial Inclusion and ADC Division , NRB Commercial Bank Ltd., Harunur Rashid , Executive Vice President & Head of FAD & CFO, NRB Commercial Bank Ltd. and other high officials of the two organizations.
Under the agreement, NRB Commercial Bank Ltd. will utilize Banglalink’s widespread retailer-base for disbursing Safety Net Fund to beneficiaries. Banglalink’s retailers will disburse the fund using NRBC Bank’s Agent Banking App and verifying the biometric impression of the beneficiaries. This joint program is expected to play a significant role in ensuring economic inclusion by availing online banking services for RMG workers in the areas where formal banking system is yet to be established.
