Banglalink makes significant commitments to provide state-of-the-art mobile network, ready for new digital customer demands
Dhaka, Feb. 26 (NsNewsWire) — Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers in Bangladesh, has made a remarkable advancement in ensuring better customer experience by upgrading its network capacity this month. In order to provide customers with the next level of digital experience, Banglalink has invested over BDT 3000 crore, one of the biggest investments made by any operator in the country. Banglalink has reached a number of landmarks this month that will result in a stronger network capable of providing seamless connectivity and better coverage to customers. Banglalink participated in the spectrum auction and acquired additional 5 MHz spectrum in 2100 MHz Band and 5.6 MHz spectrum in 1800 MHz. The additional spectrum has made Banglalink the highest spectrum per customer providing private operator increasing its spectrum holding by over 50%. This positions Banglalink very well for the future, as customer demand for fast data is ever increasing
Banglalink also opened up a new era of Digital Connectivity in Bangladesh by launching 4G this month. The super-fast mobile internet provided by 4G network will enable the users to enjoy zero-buffer HD video streaming, HD quality video calling, high-fidelity music streaming, online gaming, social networking and all sorts of other internet services. 4G will play a vital role in boosting up the socio-economic growth of the country by facilitating healthcare services, remote education, transportation and financial services. Banglalink’s 4G services have already reached major divisional towns, and now it is in the process of taking 30% of the country under 4G coverage before Ramadan.
Securing “Tech Neutrality” is another remarkable endeavor towards improving the quality of services provided to Banglalink’s customers. This much awaited technological support granted by the regulatory authorities will improve Banglalink’s services further allowing it to provide 2G, 3G and 4G services in any band of spectrum. As an immediate step, Banglalink customers will also be able to experience significant performance improvements in its 3G network within next few weeks.
