Bangladesh’s mobile subscriber base rises to nearly 120 million: BTRC

DHAKA, Dec. 23 (NsNewsWire) — Bangladesh had more than 19 million active mobile subscribers at the end of November with  five million new users in the first 11 months of 2014.

According to the Bangladesh’s Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) data,  the total subscriber base at the end of November stood at  19.623 million.

It also showed the number of subscribers of six cell phone operators — Grameenphone, Banglalink, Robi, Airtel, Citycell, Teletalk — at the end of November stood at 51.112 million, 30.681 million, 25.251 million, 7.468 million, 1.306 million and 3.805 million, respectively.
The total number of Bangladesh’s mobile phone subscribers reached nearly 113.78 million at the end of December 2013, showed the BTRC data.
