Bangladesh’s mobile subscriber base hits over 150 mln in March
DHAKA, May 24 (NsNewsWire) — According to Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), the total base has hit over 150 million mobile subscribers by March, reports Xinhua.
The number of subscribers in the country reached 150.28 million in March, showed the BTRC data.
Bangladesh has now four mobile companies, three of whom including Grameenphone, Robi and Banglalink are foreign-backed cellphone operators.
The number of subscribers of the mobile operators, Grameenphone, Robi Axiata, Banglalink and Teletalk stood at 67.457 million, 45.609 million, 33.317 million and 3.900 million respectively at the end of March, BTRC data showed.
According to the statistics of the country’s telecom regulator, the number of Bangladesh’s mobile phone subscribers reached nearly 145.114 million at the end of December 2017. Enditem
