Bangladesh’s leading AB Bank holds annual general meeting
DHAKA, June 27 (NsNewsWire) –Amid huge participation from the shareholders, Bangladesh’s leading AB Bank Limited has held its annual general meeting or AGM.
The 36th AGM of the country’s first generation private AB (Arab Bangladesh) bank was held on
June 24, 2018 at International Convention City Bashundhara in Bangladesh capital Dhaka.
The Board of Directors proposed “No Dividends” for the year 2017 which was approved by the shareholders unanimously.
The meeting elected Barrister Khairul Alam Choudhury and re-elected Mr.Feroz Ahmed and Md. Mesbahul Haque as Directors of the Bank. The meeting also adopted Directors’ Report, Auditor’s Report, Audited Financial Statements, and unanimously approved appointment of M/s. S.F. Ahmed & Co. Chartered Accountants, as Statutory Auditors of the Bank for the year 2018.
AB Bank Limited completed its 36th year of operation on April 12, 2018. Net Asset Value (NAV) stood at Tk. 2,277 crore and Total Asset of the Bank stood at Tk. 31,456 crore in 2017.
The AGM was presided over by Mr. M. A. Awal, Chairman of the Board. Other Directors and the President & Managing Director Mr. Moshiur Rahman Chowdhury were also present.
