Bangladesh researchers announce technology to detect cancer in 5 minutes

DHAKA, Sept. 5 (NsNewsWire) — Researchers in Bangladesh Wednesday said they have discovered a technology that takes five minutes to detect cancer, reports Xinhua.
The team of researchers of Bangladesh Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) located in the country’s northeastern Sylhet region said the technology they discovered will take just five minutes to diagnose cancer by analyzing blood sample.
The entire process will cost only 500 taka (about 6 U.S. dollars), Professor Yasmeen Haque of the university’s Physics Department said at a press briefing in Dhaka.
Yasmeen said they have already applied the technology for a patent in the United States and Bangladesh of invention titled “Method and System Based Nonlinear Optical Characteristic of Body Fluid for Diagnosis on Neoplasia.”  Enditem
