Bangladesh opposition extends nationwide blockade amid violence
DHAKA, Dec. 2 (nsnewswire) — Bangladesh’s main opposition party Monday morning extended its 72-hour nationwide blockade to Thursday evening to push for the postponement of the elections.
BNP spokesperson Salahuddin Ahmed made the announcement through a video message from an undisclosed location.
BNP and its allies have been enforcing a 72-hour road, rail and waterway blockade from Saturday morning for the second time in a span of a week in protest against the announcement of schedule for 10th parliamentary election.
