Bangladesh on edge of historic series triumph over cricket champions India

DHAKA, June 21 (Xinhua) — At dinner tables, family gatherings, business meetings and even at tea stalls, Bangladeshis are talking about whether they can secure their first ever series win against two-time world champions India on Sunday.
Spirited Tigers (Bangladesh team) is on the verge of creating history with the chance to win maiden series triumph over cricket world champions India after stunning the visitors in the 1st game of the three-match ODI series.
The second ODI is slated for Sunday night.
Wounded India also looks to keep Bangladesh from creating history after the hosts beat the visitors by 79 runs in the first ODI in Dhaka on Thursday.
In the first game, Tigers outsmarted the Team India in all departments and extracted a sweet revenge for their quarter-final loss at the hands of the India in the World Cup earlier this year.
Mustafizur Rahman made a dream ODI debut as Bangladesh crushed India by 79 runs in the first ODI to underline their progress in the 50-over format.
Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha told journalist that they are playing aggressive cricket since long.
“We are confident about the series though I won’t say we are favorites,” he said.
India also prepare well to face Bangladesh the second game as their pride and series are on the line.
Indian opener Rohit Sharma told the journalists that taking early wickets is the key in  his team’s basic plan to level the series.
Rohit top-scored for India with 63 in the first match as the visitors floundered to 228 all out, replying to Bangladesh’s 307 on Thursday.
“We knew what went wrong in the first match but we are still a better side. we can fight well by making a hard comeback.”
Both the teams have played three series in 2004, 2007 and 2014, with India winning by 2-1, 2-0 and 2-0 margins.
Bangladesh has beaten India in only one match in a bilateral series in Dhaka in 2004.
The Indian cricket team arrived here on June 8 to play three ODIs and one Test.
