Bangladesh Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Azha
DHAKA, Sept. 13 (NsNewsWire) — Muslims across Bangladesh Tuesday marked the Eid-ul-Azha, also known as the festival of animal sacrifice.
Before sacrificing animals such as sheep, cows, goats and camels in the beginning of the day, Muslims offered special prayers seeking divine blessings, peace, progress and prosperity in thousands of Eid congregations
The biggest festival is celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (SW) to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismael (SW) as an act of obedience to Allah.
The Eid festival is celebrated on the 10th day of the month of the lunar Islamic calendar, after holy Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
