Bangladesh moves into Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football final

DHAKA, Feb. 7  (Xinhua) — Bangladesh moves into Bangabandhu Gold Cup Football final with 1-0 against Thailand in the second semi-final here on Friday night.

Defender Nasiruddin Chowdhury scored the winning goal for the hosts against the strong Thailand side at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka from a corner in the 39th minute of the game.

Bangladesh will meet Malaysia in the final match of the six- nation Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Tournament on Sunday.

The third edition of Bangabandhu Gold Cup international football tournament started on Jan. 29 with six participating nations — Bahrain, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore and Thailand.
