Bangladesh bowler granted bail
DHAKA, Jan. 11 (NsNewsWire) — Bangladesh’s national cricket team player Rubel Hossain Rubel Hossain will remain part of his country’s World Cup squad after he got bail Sunday in a case filed by an actress.
Hossain was sent to jail Thursday after he surrendered before a Dhaka court in connection with the rape case filed by actress Naznin Akter Happy.
Happy last month lodged the case under the Prevention of Women and Child Repression Act on accusing Hossain of luring her into an extramarital affair with false promises of marriage.
Hossain, who is included in Bangladesh’s squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, has already denied the allegations brought against him.
