Hamid new World Raymen president, Azam re-elected as secy general

DHAKA, April 1 (NsNewsWire) –The World Rayman, a consortium for peacekeeping and aid, has re-elected Safiul Azam, an ICMAB professional,as  secretary general while Hamidul Islam, a Dhaka College teacher, has been made the new president (chief rayman)  of the voluntary organization.

Islam, one of the founder members of the voluntary organization, has replaced Naim-Ul-Karim, special correspondent of Xinhua News Agency and its 24-hour English news channel CNC World at Dhaka Bureau Office.

Prior to becoming WRM president, Islam served the organization in various capacities including secretary general  and vice president over the years and member secretary  during its foundation in 2004.

Hamidul Islam and Safiul Azam, a general manager of Popular Group, were elected president and secretary general respectively of The World Raymen for the April 2017-March 2018 term.
The new executive committee of the WRM was constituted at Central Public Library following a ceremony to mark the Dhaka-based organisation’s 13th foundation day and the country’s 46th anniversary of Independence on March 26.

During the ceremony, members discussed Raymen activities and its future plans to serve people.

Discussion was also held on Bangladesh’s 46th Independence day as the ceremony also aimed at celebrating the foundation day of the country.

Through their discussions the World Raymen (WRM) members paid tribute to the best sons of the soil who sacrificed their lives for emancipation of the country in 1971.

Raymen also reconstituted its advisory council with Supreme Court Advocate Al Mamun, former World Raymen president, its chief. The other council members include Engineer Forhad Reza and Lutfur Rahman Bhuiyan, an English lecturer at Saudi Arabia’s Jazan University, and Naim-Ul-Karim, a journalist.
