Another Bangladeshi blogger hacked to death
| DHAKA, March 30 (Xinhua) — Unknown assailants on Monday morning hacked another Bangladeshi blogger to death in the capital city of Dhaka. On Feb. 26 night, Unknown assailants hacked blogger Abhijit Roy to death also in Dhaka. A Dhaka Metropolitan Police official said blogger Washiqur Rahman died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he was rushed shortly after three miscreants attacked him in Dhaka‘s Tejgaon industrial area on Monday morning. Law enforcers have detained two men suspected of attacking the blogger and recovered three meat cleavers from the spot, said the official who declined to be named. The motive for the attack was not immediately clear. Roy’s blogging had reportedly evoked the ire of Islamist fundamentalists and he was regularly threatened by unknown assailants. Enditem |
