Bangladesh opposition announces countrywide blockade
DHAKA, Jan. 5 (NsNewsWire) — Bangladesh’s 20-party opposition alliance has announced indefinite blockade across the country.
Ex-Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, who remained confined in her office since Saturday night, made the announcement on Monday evening.
Khaleda Zia made several attempts to leave the office to join her 20-party alliance’s anti-government rally.
Hundreds of police personnel have been deployed outside her office.
