“18th Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh-2018” gets underway in Bangladesh

DHAKA, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) — The “18th Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh-2018” — fine arts festival in Asia showcasing hundreds of artworks by famous artists from scores of countries including China, has been under way in Bangladeshi capital Dhaka.
The exhibition is being held at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the principal state-sponsored national cultural center of Bangladesh in capital Dhaka.
Jointly organized by the Bangladeshi Cultural Affairs Ministry and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, the month-long exhibition that kicked off earlier this month has been displaying 583 artworks by 465 artists from 68 countries including two and three dimensional artworks like painting, prints, photography, sculpture, installation, performance and new media arts.
It was a platform for artists of the Asian and Pacific region until 2014. Organizers last year decided to expand its glory throughout the world.   Enditem
